Brian Heder

Brian is a relic of the Keys' smuggling heyday — a drug runner who survived the wild years and still moves product on his own terms. He lets Jason live on his property in exchange for work, which keeps Jason close to the trade he'd rather leave.

Brian gets the biggest scene of his own in the Extended Look. At the ten minute mark Jason and Lucia come up to the Effluvia rooftop bar and sit down with him and Lori: he is the older man in the palm-print shirt, sunglasses on, a cigar going, and the handshake with Jason at the railing is the shot the sequence hangs on. SVG describes the meeting as being about a job, and the jobs discussed at that table are what the flashbacks in the middle of the video show.
