GTA 6 cars: what is named, and what was only spotted

Rockstar has put in-game names on a couple of dozen vehicles and on nothing else. Every other car on Leonida's streets is press reading a real-world shape off official footage. This page keeps the two apart instead of merging them into one long list.

Named by Rockstar, in our database: 17 Identified by the press from official footage: 32

Named by Rockstar

These are the vehicles with an in-game name we can point at: a badge on an official render, a line in the Ultimate Edition copy, a manufacturer roundel on a boot lid. Each has its own database entry with the frame it came from and the source that named it.

Spotted, not named

Everything below was identified by automotive and gaming press going through the Extended Look frame by frame, matching a grille, a roofline, a light signature or a wheelbase to a real car. Rockstar has published no name for any of them, so the real-world model is the row key. Two exceptions carry an in-game name because a badge was legible on screen.

Why the big lists are bigger

Trackers elsewhere run to 270 vehicles with full manufacturer names. Most of those names come from the 2022 build leak, which this site does not use in any form before release. A leaked filename is not the same thing as a car anyone has seen, and we would rather show you thirty shapes somebody can point at than 270 strings nobody can.

Real-world matches are the press's reading, not Rockstar's. Rockstar has never confirmed a real-world inspiration for any GTA vehicle, and the game deliberately keeps every design a step away from the original.

Frequently asked questions

How many cars are in GTA 6?

Rockstar has not said. Community trackers estimate over 200 vehicles, but that number leans on the 2022 leak. Counting only what the public has seen, a couple of dozen carry an in-game name and about thirty more have been matched to a real-world car by the press.

What car does Jason drive in GTA 6?

His personal car in the Extended Look is a red convertible that the automotive press reads as a BMW 3 Series E30 Cabriolet, and the badge on the boot lid says Übermacht Sentinel.

Are real car brands in GTA 6?

No. GTA has always used in-house makes such as Vapid, Declasse and Übermacht that sit a step away from the real thing. Real names appear on this page only as the shape the press matched, never as a licence.

Can you customise cars in GTA 6?

Two mod shops are named in the Ultimate Edition copy: Rideout Customs in Vice City for paint and chrome, and One-Eyed Willie's in Lake Leonida for off-road builds. Rockstar has not described what the tuning menus actually offer.
