BBC cyber correspondent Joe Tidy reports that doctors now deem Kurtaj fit to stand trial: released from the secure hospital where a court had held him indefinitely since December 2023, he is reportedly in prison awaiting a conventional criminal trial in November 2026. Kurtaj, then 18 and a member of the Lapsus$ group, broke into Rockstar in September 2022 and posted 90 in-development GTA 6 clips; Rockstar told the court the breach cost it $5 million. The report comes from a single named journalist, with no published court statement and no comment from Rockstar, so it stays a rumor until official confirmation.
