About 89% of GTA 6 pre-orders on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S are for the $99.99 Ultimate Edition, according to an estimate from analytics firm Sensor Tower. Rockstar and Take-Two have never published an edition split of their own.
Sensor Tower's Video Game Insights arm shared the breakdown with GamesIndustry.biz on August 13, 2026: 89% of pre-orders across both consoles, 88.5% on PlayStation and 90% on Xbox. Karl Kontus, the unit's SVP and general manager, put the normal premium-edition share at 10-20%, called 50% during pre-orders a great number, and said he had never seen a 90% premium share before. He expects the figure to drop, possibly toward an even split, because the marketing campaign has barely started and most pre-orders land in the final week before the November 19 launch, when less committed buyers arrive. These are modelled estimates built on third-party storefront data, not sales figures released by Rockstar. They run in the same direction as Strauss Zelnick's August 10 CNBC remark that pre-orders were skewing more to the premium edition, but Zelnick gave no percentage and credited the mix to the most avid fans ordering first.
