A surprise drop, five weeks out
ConfirmedRockstar posted "Grand Theft Auto VI Launch Trailer" on YouTube at 13:00 UTC on 15 October 2026 with no teaser beforehand, exactly five weeks before the 19 November release. The main cut runs 90 seconds and is uploaded in 4K; a square 1080x1080 version went up at the same time for social feeds. The description repeats the official story synopsis first published with Trailer 2 and closes with the same line as the Extended Look: "This trailer was captured entirely in-game from a PlayStation 5."

Justice wrote the score, and the trailer debuts their single
ConfirmedThis is the first time Rockstar has named the composers of the original score: the French electronic duo Justice. The trailer is cut to their new standalone single "Flower in a Hurricane", featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Rockstar says the track is part of Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, the official soundtrack that is already open for pre-save on streaming services and for vinyl and CD pre-orders at gtavi-thealbum.com.

Jason, in his own words
Spotted in trailerThe video opens in the Keys. A pickup towing a jet ski passes a "Welcome to The Keys" sign, then the camera finds Brian's Marina, a dry-stack boat yard, where Jason is buffing a hull in a tank top and cap. Over those shots he gives his backstory for the first time on screen: "I got in some trouble in the Army. Didn't leave on the best of terms. They don't give loans or anything to people like me." Later he leans on a red sports car next to Lucia wearing a U.S. Army T-shirt. Brian Heder's official bio already had Jason living rent-free at Brian's boat yard in return for help with the business; the sign puts a name on that yard.

"This is a free call from Lucia Caminos"
Spotted in trailerJason takes a phone call in the marina car park, and an automated voice says: "This is a free call from Lucia Caminos." It is the standard greeting of a prison phone system, which ties the opening to the first trailer, where Lucia starts the story in the Leonida Penitentiary. A few seconds later the pair are side by side in a red convertible, so the trailer runs from her release straight into the life they build together.

A bank vault and a helicopter through glass
Spotted in trailerTwo figures walk through the round door of a bank vault while banknotes swirl in the air inside, one of them in a red hoodie. Later, at night, a helicopter swings a heavy round object on a cable straight through the glass wall of a high-rise, and someone hangs from a helicopter skid high above the lit-up city. Dexerto reads the helicopter scene as part of the bank job first shown in the Extended Look. Rockstar has not described the mission.

New corners of Leonida
Spotted in trailerSeveral places appear for the first time. Armed men wade through a mangrove swamp at sunset. A pickup drives under the landing gear of an airliner on a runway, with the Vice City skyline behind it. A biplane trailing pink smoke flies low over a packed beach with someone standing on its upper wing. A dirt bike jumps off the roof of a building near an elevated rail line, and a Sheriff SUV leads a police chase up a dark hillside. Each shot lasts about a second, and none of the places is named on screen.

Lucia's ankle tag
Spotted in trailerIn a shower scene the camera drops to the floor and shows a monitoring tag with a red light strapped to an ankle. Coverage of the trailer reads it as Lucia's, which fits her being on release after prison. The same video shows her firing an assault rifle in a street shootout next to a burning car.
-
"Are we gonna be okay?"
Spotted in trailerThe last line of dialogue plays over a rooftop stand-off: Jason and a woman in a silver outfit flank a long-haired man in sunglasses who has his foot on someone lying on the ground. "Are we gonna be okay?" "We've stuck together through everything. Just gotta get through it." The trailer then cuts to Jason and Lucia embracing on a balcony at sunset and ends with the two of them jumping hand in hand from a great height into a lit pool.

A PlayStation co-marketing cut
ConfirmedThe main version opens with the PlayStation logo and a "Plays best on PS5" card and closes with "Play Has No Limits". The end card reads "November 19, 2026. Pre-order now" next to the ESRB Mature 17+ badge and a "Captured on PS5" mark. GTA 6 launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S; the Xbox version is not mentioned in this cut.
