Take-Two moved its GTA 6 checkpoint to Friday morning, before the market opens
Take-Two will report its first quarter fiscal 2027 results before the market opens on Friday, August 7, with the analyst call at 8:00 a.m. Eastern. The company put that in a scheduling notice on July 9, which also lists the dial-in and points to the webcast at take2games.com/ir.
That is a break from its own habit, and it is easy to check against Take-Two's own announcements. Its previous report and the same quarter a year ago both landed after the close with the call at 4:30 p.m. Eastern: May 21 for the fiscal 2026 full year, and August 7 of last year for the first quarter. This time the hour and the weekday are both different, and Take-Two gave no reason for the change.
For GTA 6 the date matters for two reasons. It is the last investor call Take-Two has on the calendar before November 19, and Rockstar has a history of putting news out around these dates. That history is the entire basis of the current trailer expectations, including Tom Henderson's call for early August. Rockstar has announced nothing, and no trailer sits on any published schedule.
One thing worth keeping in proportion. The quarter being reported ended on June 30, and pre-orders for GTA 6 opened on June 25, so six days of them fall inside the reported period. Whatever Strauss Zelnick says about pre-order demand will be commentary and outlook rather than a full quarter of sales, which makes the fiscal 2027 guidance the part to read closely, not the Q1 line items.
