Leonida's answer to the Everglades: slow rivers, swamps, marshland, and isolated rural communities where alligators roam freely. Untamed and easy to get lost in - and the wildlife is not necessarily the biggest threat lurking out there.

The wild heart of Leonida

Confirmed

Grassrivers is the game's Everglades: airboat country, gator waters and communities that live by their own rules far from Vice City's neon. Official material frames it as one of Leonida's distinct explorable regions.

Crossed by airboat in the Extended Look

Spotted in trailer

At 17:04 the video puts the camera behind an airboat running down a narrow channel of bright green water, caged fan turning at the stern, wooden platforms and mangrove on either side. SVG describes the swamps around Leonida as an area you can boat through and snorkel in, and Dexerto lists fan boats among the activities catalogued in the presentation. It is the first time the wetlands have been shown as somewhere you travel rather than somewhere you look at.
